Actor Josh Hutcherson has been chosen as the official spokesperson for Teen Read Week 2008. 15-year old Josh has appeared in many movies, including Journey to the Center of the Earth and Bridge to Terabithia. He recently finished filming Cirque du Freak, based on the series by Darren Shan. Here’s a brief excerpt from a recent interview:How has reading helped you become a movie star?
Well, I have to read a lot of scripts first of all. Also, reading helps you learn about the type of character that you are going to play. For example, if you are going to play a role of someone who lived in the 18th century, you have to read about life back then in order to understand your character.

Comment by Jess October 4, 2008 @ 6:26 amjosh hutcherson is a jerk hes stuck up and rude he thinks he the guy of every girls dreams hes not i dont care what other girls say about me but not every girl is a josh hutcherson fan im not for sure and i know plenty of girls who arent either fact some girls cant stand him hes not the most amazing guy ever i know christian male celebritys and they atract good attention unlike girls who like josh and say “omg hes so hot” and the christian guys get comments like”your a great insperation keep up the good work” there not over ther heads in trying to get attention they are truly living a good life and not being jerks p.s. they have time for there fans too sure celebs get busy but the good guys always find time for there fans and go ubove and beyond

All the charicters playing in the cirque du freak mvie are all wrong. Especily laritin crepsly, he is suposte to be sinny and oldish and have a crop of orange hair on his head. I hate it!

And if he can put on a good front for he cameras continuously for the cameras when he’s really not nice, then doesn’t that make him a better actor? I don’t like stuck-up people at all but they have feelings too. And I assure you he is not the only jerk out there…………. just saying.
