John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage Essay Contest

Describe how an elected official demonstrated political courage in a 1000-word essay for a chance to win up to $5,000 and a trip to the awards ceremony in Boston.  The deadline for this annual essay contest for high school students is January 12, 2008.
